The event was attended by more than 160 people from the region who were interested in all aspects of blogs, blogging, social networking, and related topics. Presentations and panels covered were available on “beginner,” “business,” and “general” tracks, while panels and networking events allowed for more informal discussion and interaction about these tools and technologies.

RICHMOND, IN — Summersault is excited to announce the hiring of two new staff members, Michael Hampton and Matthew Jenkins. Both Richmond residents, Hampton and Jenkins join the team in a time of growth for the website development firm, founded here in 1997.
“It’s a first for us to be joined by two new people at the same time, and we couldn’t be happier to grow in this way,” said Chris Hardie, the company’s co-founder and Principal. “Both Matt and Michael bring a lot of energy and skills to our group, and it’s already been a joy to work with them.”
Jenkins will serve as the firm’s Office Manager, while Hampton will be a Software Developer involved in creating and maintaining various database driven websites. The additions bring the total staff size at Summersault to eight.

Earlham College alumni spotlight: web masters

Ten years ago, when Chris Hardie ‘99 and Mark Stosberg ‘98 started a web design business in Hardie’s Earlham College dorm room, they didn’t really have a plan for the long term future.
But things have worked out pretty well. Summersault, LLC, the Web development firm they launched in 1997, has more than 300 clients all over the country. Hardie and Stosberg are now community leaders in Richmond, Ind., lending their passion, energy and expertise to their adopted hometown.

Summersault co-founder and Principal Chris Hardie was asked to serve on the Debate Bid Steering Committee, consulting on issues of infrastructure and facilities needed to host the events. Summersault is also working closely with the Economic Development Corporation of Wayne County to evaluate ways to use the technologies of the Internet to win the debate bid and showcase our community.
