Summersault partner’s software featured in Open Source book
Posted by Summersault on April 15th, 2001
RICHMOND, IN – Respected publishing company O’Reilly & Associates released today the book Oracle and Open Source by Andy Duncan and Sean Hull. The book features software created by Summersault, LLC co-owner and Principal Chris Hardie.
Hardie started developing the software, entitled DB_Browser, several years ago while working for a local Internet service provider. It allows software developers to easily, via the Web, access data stored in a variety of relational database management systems without knowing anything specific about the databases themselves.
“I feel honored by this recognition,” says Hardie, “because I have spent a lot of my personal time maintaining DB_Browser in the name of contributing to the larger software community. This is a neat way for the community to give back to me, and it validates my efforts.”
The book is available from most bookstores and online booksellers.
