RICHMOND, IN — Summersault announced today the release of its new Vendor Relations Policy. The document describes guidelines that will inform the company's decision making about the use of vendors, in an effort to make the most ethical purchasing decisions possible.
"The Vendor Relations Policy is really just a formalization of many of the principles and processes we've had in place at Summersault for a long time," said Chris Hardie, co-founder and Principal of the firm. "But we recognized the difficulty in clarifying how those principles apply in a given situation without some sort of established policy."
The document's preamble states that Summersault is a company centered around ethical and just business practices, and that it has particular corporate values with regard to sustainability, community building, integrity, and respect for persons. The purpose of the Vendor Relations Policy is to frame those values and priorities in a complex world, where purchasing decisions cannot always be ethically pure.
Copies of the policy are available upon request, or on Summersault's company website.
