RICHMOND, IN — Summersault developers Evan Agee and Mark Stosberg have
recently made significant contributions to the CGI::Application
project and the CGI::Application
Perl module, a web application framework used by Summersault and many
other web application developers.
In December of 2003, Summersault designer Evan Agee created and contributed the new project logo, a silhouetted camel with gears in the background (the camel being a common icon for the Perl programming language), and the project's name in the foreground. The new image creates a standard icon for the project's website and other public materials.
In January of 2004, Summersault developer Mark Stosberg agreed to be co-maintainer of the project with module author Jesse Erlbaum of the Erlbaum Group in New York. Stosberg now coordinates the notably active developer community and their ongoing contributions to the project, and works with Erlbaum to develop new features and release new versions of the software. Stosberg's work not only benefits the community of developers using the CGI::Application software, but also creates a closer relationship between the project and Summersault, which makes extensive use of the software in its development projects.
